Can you quote from a photo?
A clear photo helps us begin the conversation. Final scope depends on the existing installation and may need a site assessment.
Can this be coordinated with solar or a battery?
Yes. Let us know your planned upgrades so the switchboard work can be considered as part of the same project.
What affects the cost of a switchboard upgrade?
The existing board, number of circuits, circuit protection, wiring condition and access all affect the scope. Planned solar, batteries or air conditioning may also change the requirements. We assess the installation before providing a tailored quote.
What work can be included?
Depending on the assessment, the scope may include replacing the board or enclosure, updating circuit protection and addressing identified wiring issues. The quote will set out the work proposed for your home.
Will the electricity need to be turned off?
Switchboard work involves isolating the electricity supply. Ask us about the expected interruption when arranging the job, and let us know about equipment that needs continuous power so this can be considered in the plan.
Does an old fuse box always need replacing?
Age alone does not establish the condition of an installation. Tell us about the existing board, any issues you have noticed and equipment you plan to add. An assessment can establish what work is appropriate; leave covers closed and do not inspect internal wiring yourself.
